Reformed National Pricing: where next for the GB electricity market?
This summer, the UK Government announced its decision to introduce Reformed National Pricing, ending the policy development phase of the Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA). With the uncertainty of zonal wholesale pricing now off the table, there is a clear direction of travel for the reform of GB’s existing national wholesale market.
However, Reformed National Pricing is significantly broader in scope than the options initially considered under REMA. The new era of strategic energy planning, combined with market-based reforms, brings a new level of complexity. Whilst this holistic approach is welcome, fundamental questions remain about how strategic planning and market design should be coordinated to deliver an optimal future energy system.
Scottish Renewables’ Reformed National Pricing: where next for the GB electricity market? will hear from leading experts and policymakers as we discuss the key issues and challenges facing the sector as we enter this crucial next phase of electricity market reform.
Join us for a packed, one-day event to learn:
