Renew Legal is a niche law firm providing truly specialist legal support to the Renewable Energy sector. We pride ourselves on the fact that, unlike the majority of commercial law firms, our prime focus is to work for and within the Renewables industry. Our lawyers have worked at the highest levels within either large commercial law firms or major utility scale developers. More importantly, they have worked extensively as integral parts of numerous renewable energy projects, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydro and biomass. As befits the sector, our service takes a fresh, dynamic and relevant approach to the provision of legal support. We combine the flexibility and expertise of a traditional on-call law firm with the added value of experienced in-house renewable energy specialist lawyers providing focused, commercial and highly cost-effective advice and guidance.

Ripple Energy enables UK householders to purchase micro-sized shares of large-scale renewable energy projects. The electricity generated by the projects will be allocated to the co-owners’ homes. Co-owners pay for the capital cost of their project upfront, so the cost of their electricity is just the operating cost of the project, which is significantly lower than the wholesale price. In this way householders can stabilise their electricity bills and be supplied by renewable energy they have generated, regardless of where they live.
