SR Draft Response: NESO Transitional Regional Energy Strategic Plan

On September 19, NESO published its TRESP consultation asking for feedback on nations and regions contexts, pathways and consistent planning assumptions (CPAs) and strategic investment need. The first TRESP will be published in January 2026, allowing DNOs to inform their ED3 bids accordingly.

As a reminder, the TRESP and RESPs are being developed to complement strategic plans with a bottom-up perspective to identify local need, drive the right investment and ensure efficient network build.

SR is submitting a response and has prepared a draft response for review. If you have any comments or edits on the draft, please send these via tracked changes on the document to Holly (hthomas@scottishrenwables.com) and Stephen (smckellar@scottishrenewables.com) by 10 am, Monday, November 3.

The consultation closes at 23:59 on November 3.
