Scottish Renewables and RenewableUK are delighted the Onshore Wind Conference returns to Edinburgh on 1-2 September 2026.

2030 is fast approaching. Strong deployment ambitions have driven a robust onshore wind pipeline through to the end of the decade. But planning for the sector beyond 2030 is critical.

The Clean Power Action Plan sets out a near-term target, while the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan (SSEP) will determine the strategic plan through to 2050. Together, these frameworks signal a shift from a focus on individual projects to system-wide outcomes – with implications for planning, investment confidence, supply chains, communities and long-term asset management.

The Onshore Wind Conference, co-organised by Scottish Renewables and RenewableUK, will bring together industry, government and the supply chain to discuss how onshore wind can continue to deliver at scale today while preparing for the next phase of growth.

Across two days, we’ll explore the practical realities of deployment, the transition to strategic planning, grid reform, routes to market, repowering and the value onshore wind can deliver across all parts of the UK.
