SR Response: Proposed Refinements for Allocation Round 8 and Future Rounds

SR has submitted our response to the UK Government’s consultation on refinements to the Contract for Difference (CfD) for AR8 and future rounds. The consultation closed on January 30, 2026.

The consultation proposed refinements to a range of areas, including: surrendered CfD capacity, hybrid metering, contractual changes for floating offshore wind, introducing a new technology category for Other Deepwater Offshore Wind, changes to improve system efficiency, excluding applications with Gate 1 connection offers, visibility of sealed bids and minor and technical changes to the contract terms.
