SR Response: OFTO: further evolution of a mature asset class

On July 14, Ofgem published a follow-up consultation on the evolution of a mature asset class of wind farms. SR submitted a joint response with RUK to this consultation which outlines the changes required to ensure the Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) regime remains fit for purpose.

As with its previous consultation which SR responded to, the content of the consultation covered several topics related to the existing regime and changes required for wind farm extensions. The consultation also explores the arrangements for OFTOs and wind farms reaching end of tender revenue stream, including changes to the Generator Commissioning Clause, as well as the implications of technology-related changes for extensions among other issues.
