Scottish Renewables announces CEO departure
Scottish Renewables has today (April 21) announced that its Chief Executive Officer Claire Mack OBE has decided to step down from her role to pursue the next stage of her career. She will remain in post while the recruitment process for her successor is underway.
Throughout her nine year tenure, Claire has made an outstanding contribution to the organisation and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the renewable energy industry in Scotland.
Since her appointment in 2017, she has led the renewable energy industry through a transformational decade and has been leading voice for the energy transition. Claire was awarded the OBE for services to the economy and business in 2025, in public recognition of the outstanding leadership she has shown over the years. Scottish Renewables, it’s members and Board will be sorry to see her go, and we wish her well in the next stage of her career.
Claire Mack, the outgoing Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, commented:
"It has been a privilege to lead Scottish Renewables from the front for the past nine years. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved during this time — strengthening the voice of the sector and advocating to cement Scotland’s leadership position in renewable generation.
