Nominations are now open for the UK’s premier celebration of renewable energy – The Scottish Green Energy Awards 2025 – promising its biggest and most exciting ceremony to date.

The awards, organised by trade body Scottish Renewables, are returning to Edinburgh and will once again honour the remarkable people, projects and organisations who are transforming the UK’s energy system.

From cutting-edge innovation to inspiring community action, the awards spotlight those making a real impact in the UK’s renewable energy industry.

Entries are invited across 12 categories, covering the full spectrum of renewable technologies – from wind, solar and hydro to tidal, wave, low-carbon heat and more.

Among the categories are the Best Engagement Award, the Contribution to Skills Award and the Champion of Renewables Award.

Last year, Scottish Renewables expanded the event’s capacity from 1,200 to 1,700 guests, delivering an unforgettable evening. That enhanced format returns this year, with the awards live-streamed across two dining rooms, with two stages and two hosts – Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris.

The event, which will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on December 4, is set to be another unmissable celebration of Scotland’s clean energy industry.

Claire Mack OBE, Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, said:

“The UK’s renewable energy industry continues to grow in strength and ambition – driving innovation, creating high-value jobs and playing a central role in tackling the climate crisis.

“The Scottish Green Energy Awards 2025 are a chance to come together and celebrate the outstanding people, projects and organisations leading that charge – those delivering real results and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

“It’s always an honour to recognise the vision, talent and dedication shaping the future of our energy system. I’m looking forward to celebrating the past year’s achievements with the industry and building momentum as we head into 2026 and beyond on our journey towards a clean energy future.”
