The spotlight is on the businesses and organisations powering Scotland’s clean power future as The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards 2025, organised by trade body Scottish Renewables, today (July 11) unveils its shortlist of nominees.

Now in its fourth year, the awards celebrate the skills, innovation and resilience that drive one of Scotland’s most important and fast-evolving industries. Categories cover every corner of the supply chain including manufacturing, logistics, workforce development and sustainability, highlighting the depth and diversity of talent here in Scotland.

From pioneering start-ups and SMEs to established players from across the energy spectrum, this year’s finalists represent the best of a supply chain that is critical to delivering Scotland’s £15 billion renewable energy industry.

Some examples from the shortlist include:

  • Renewable Parts, a supply chain and refurbishment specialist in the wind industry, has been nominated in three categories: Green Business Growth, Sustainable Supplier, and Outstanding SME.
  • Xocean, a pioneer in uncrewed survey vessel technology providing seabed surveys to the offshore wind sector, has been shortlisted for the Technology & Business Innovation Award.
  • IMS Heat Pumps design, install, commission and service ground air source heat pumps and have been nominated in the category for Green Energy Skills.
  • Norn Alliance, a group of four of Shetland-based engineering businesses who came together in response to the opportunity in offshore wind, are a finalist for the Supply Chain Development award.
  • Interocean Marine Services, which provides a comprehensive range of services to the offshore oil and gas, marine and renewable sectors, has been shortlisted for the Best Practice Award.

Emma Harrick, Director of Energy Transition and Supply Chain at Scottish Renewables, said:

“Celebrating the people and organisations who are applying their skills to help shape the future of our industry is incredibly important to Scottish Renewables.

“The supply chain is the engine room of our industry and as we stand at the forefront of a vibrant renewable energy future The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards are about recognising the often unsung heroes who are working tirelessly to turn big ambitions into on-the-ground impact.

“The calibre of entries this year has been exceptional and it is clear from the shortlist that much of the success our industry has achieved so far can be credited to the diverse mix of supply chain companies delivering the specialist products and services needed to achieve our green energy ambitions.

“This year’s event is going to be another showcase of the innovation, skills and engineering know-how that the supply chain is bringing to the wind, solar, marine, hydro and hydrogen projects being delivered around the world. I look forward to joining them in celebrating these achievements next month.”

The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards, headline sponsored by TotalEnergies, will see 31 businesses, organisations and projects contest prizes across nine categories at a prestigious awards ceremony in Aberdeen, on August 21.

Nicolas Payer, UK Country Chair at TotalEnergies, said:

“Now even more than ever, championing the energy sector supply chain is crucial. Events like The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards help us do just that so I am proud that TotalEnergies is sponsoring the event, taking place in Aberdeen, again this year.

“The supply chain companies are not only the engine of the energy transition in the UK, but they put the country on the world stage when they export their knowledge, experience and expertise. For the UK – and Scotland in particular – to be seen as the home of energy and the energy transition, is good for us all. This year’s short-list demonstrates the scale, variety, ambition and diversity of the sector. Congratulations to everyone on the short-list.”
