Renewable electricity continues to make a significant contribution to our transition to a low-carbon economy, now meeting over a quarter of the UK’s demand

This opening session will look at how government’s ambitions for a smart, flexible energy system can help make real progress in the next chapter of this transition.  

Panellists will also discuss the how systems and storage can contribute to the UK Government’s draft Industrial Strategy and the opportunities that the Scottish Government’s plans for renewables to meet 50% of all energy demand by 2030 may create for the sector.
