The Scottish Green Energy Awards - Q&A

Ensuring guests experience the same quality of event they have come to expect from The Scottish Green Energy Awards is a key priority for Scottish Renewables. We are so proud of the awards and the recognition they offer to the fantastic organisations, projects and people they celebrate.

Last year we were honoured to see the event welcome nearly 1,700 industry colleagues and were grateful for the support shown from our guests as we grew the event.

Why did the event change?

We have been delighted to see the awards grow and become the event of the year for the renewable energy industry. Each year the event sells out quicker than the last - with 2023 tickets sold in a record-breaking 11 minutes. This resulted in us turning away a long waitlist of companies that couldn't secure a place to join us in celebrating the successes of our industry. So, in 2024 we made the bold decision to add an additional room, allowing around 600 additional guests to attend.

How do the awards work?

Our hosts, Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris, expertly connect both rooms throughout the evening. The husband and wife duo work closely with our AV and production team to ensure the event flows smoothly. Hosts even switch rooms so that all guests have the same experience throughout the evening. The award presentations take place between both stages with winners revealed in both rooms. Live cameras stream all the action across the event to keep everyone connected.

Will we miss anything?

Absolutely not! The show is designed to flow seamlessly between rooms, and all the activity is live streamed, so you never miss any of the action.

What is the main room?

There is no ‘main room’ but instead a blend of guests across the event with both rooms including senior representatives from Scottish Renewables, SGEA sponsors, government and of course finalists.

When will our table number be confirmed?

Table locations will be confirmed in November, four weeks before the event.

How will tables be allocated?

We will allocate your table based on a first-come, first-served basis. This means the sooner you book the closer you will be to the stage.

Can we choose what room we are in?

As the award presentations will be split over both rooms, we must ensure all finalists are in the correct room for their category. Therefore, we will only finalise table allocations following our judging session and cannot accommodate room requests.

Can we be located close to XX?

We will not be able to accommodate requests regarding who your table neighbours will be.

We have booked two tables, will we be kept together?

Yes, if you have booked two tables then we will place both tables together.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday, 23 July. You can read more about the options on the event website.
