Offshore Wind Conference, Exhibition & Dinner 2020 About the Event

Scottish Renewables' Offshore Wind Conference, Exhibition & Dinner 2020

Scottish Renewables’ Offshore Wind Conference, Exhibition & Dinner 2020 will explore the progress made over the past year in Scotland’s growing offshore wind sector and the upcoming opportunities the sector’s expansion presents for the energy and offshore supply chain across the length and breadth of the country.

Following a record-breaking Contracts for Difference auction in 2019, Scotland’s offshore wind industry will come together in Glasgow to explore the highlights and the challenges of the past year and to look ahead to the future.

2019 was a landmark year for the industry in Scotland, with the commissioning of Beatrice tripling our installed capacity and pushing renewables’ share of the power mix up to almost 75%. The UK Government’s Sector Deal has led to greater focus and drive across the industry, while further good news for Scotland came with a CfD for Phase One of the Seagreen project, which will bring further opportunities to Scotland’s burgeoning supply chain.

The year ahead will be a busy one at ports across the east coast, with a further three projects under construction. All eyes will be on the future as the much anticipated ScotWind Leasing process kicks off, providing opportunities for both fixed and floating projects.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in the Scottish offshore wind industry, including investors, developers, OEMs, policy makers, regulators, academics, owner/operators, manufacturers and fabricators, contractors, service providers, established and new-entrant supply chain firms right across the offshore and energy fields and beyond.
