With technology continuing to deliver, but projects still lacking a viable route to commercialisation, can Scotland keep its lead in developing and deploying wave and tidal projects?
Join this session to reflect on the state of the industry, discuss government ambition for the sector and consider revenue models that could propel the sector towards market delivery.
Welcome and Chair
This session will consider how wave and tidal energy can help meet not just our energy and carbon ambitions, but a wider set of socio-economic goals – and what the industry can do to better tell that story.
Innovating our way down the cost curve and delivering a route to market
This session considers how wave and tidal technologies might reduce costs, the cost curve outlook and where revenue opportunities might exist as we move towards a smart, flexible energy system.
In this final session, an expert panel will debate priority actions for the sector, to help shape Scottish Renewables’ policy work over the year ahead.
