    Matthew is a passionate and knowledgeable energy professional who has over twelve years’ experience working in the renewable energy and low carbon heat sectors. Matthew is the Business Development Manager in Scotland for The Kensa Group. Kensa deliver shared ground loop array heating systems to social housing which offer a long term sustainable solution to climate emergency and fuel poverty by providing low cost, low carbon warmth to Scotland's communities.

    Colin founded PassivSystems in 2008 following extensive research into zero-carbon homes and the roll-out of smart meters to domestic homes in Italy. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and an Advisory Board Member to UCL’s International Energy Institute. He is a founding member of Energy UK’s New Energy Services & Heat Committee and his company is a member of the Smart Power Industries Alliance.
    He is a regular speaker at local and international conferences including World Energy Congress, United Nations sustainable Energy for All and World Economic Forum (WEF).

    James is leading the Scottish Government’s Team that is developing legislation to introduce regulation for district and communal heating in Scotland.

    James has been with the Scottish Government since 2013 with previous posts in the Energy Efficient Scotland programme, European Structural Funds and Disclosure Scotland.

    Sarah-Jane is an energy and projects lawyer with diverse experience across several sectors. In the energy sector, Sarah-Jane’s primary focus is on renewables and she has contributed to the successful delivery of many projects. Her experience includes advising developers, sponsors and banks on a range of renewables projects including; hydro schemes, windfarms (both on and offshore), anaerobic digestion and tidal technologies.

    Sarah-Jane’s renewables expertise spans drafting and negotiating various contracts crucial for project development, including grid connection documents, construction and supply agreements and power purchase agreements. She also manages due diligence for project finance transactions and advises on the sale and purchase of development and operating assets. Sarah-Jane has supported developers and investors on renewables support mechanisms including FIT, RO and CfD and has advised on a number of community renewables projects

    Morag is Scottish Renewables’ Director of Policy. Her work involves overseeing Scottish Renewables’ policy function and key projects within Scotland’s leading renewables trade body, working on behalf of 250+ organisations to grow Scotland’s renewable energy sector and sustain its position at the forefront of the global clean energy industry.

    Morag has worked in policy for over 15 year and was previously a Senior Policy Officer with WWF Scotland, specialising in climate change, sustainable development and behaviour change.
