Sean Batty

Sean Batty was born in Paisley and studied meteorology at Reading University before joining STV in 2007.

His lifelong interest in weather was sparked more than a decade before that, however, when he received a BBC Weather kit aged just seven.

He now produces and presents 16 weather updates every day and works with the channel’s designers to ensure they’re as professional and fact-packed as possible.

He is a particular fan of cold and snowy weather, and enjoys taking holidays in colder countries.
