Peel Ports Tour About the Event

Scottish Renewables and Peel Ports Group invite delegates of the Planning Conference 2025 to visit the Peel Ports Group’s King George V (KGV) terminal in Glasgow on Wednesday, May 28.

This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the KGV terminal - a key hub for Scotland’s onshore wind sector. 

As a vital facility supporting the delivery of onshore wind projects across the country, KGV has processed components for over 1,200 wind turbines - more than 35 percent of total capacity installed in Scotland since 2005, and more than any other port across the country. 

With over 20 years’ experience handling onshore wind turbine components and infrastructure, KGV offers the technical capability and location to meet the growing demands of the renewable energy sector. 

The visit will begin with a short presentation in Glasgow city centre before travelling to the port for a guided tour of the terminal and its facilities. Delegates will gain insight into Peel Ports’ ongoing investments, operational capabilities and how the port is helping manufacturers and developers efficiently deliver projects across Scotland and the UK.
