PEOPLE AND CULTURE AWARD

The talented individuals working in this industry are key to delivering our net-zero goals so it is important to recognise programmes which strive to create an inclusive, diverse and motivated workforce as well as championing a positive and progressive culture as we all adapt to the needs of the energy transition. This award recognises an organisation or project which works to place people at its centre.

GREEN ENERGY SKILLS AWARD
Sponsored by OPITO

Ensuring we meet the skills needs of the future is crucial to achieving our net-zero targets. This award celebrates groups or organisations going above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition of the energy workforce. This includes initiatives supporting early careers, training and qualifications, industry standards and those either making the move from a background in traditional fossil fuel energy generation or adding to their skillset to work across both sectors through the transition.

GREEN BUSINESS GROWTH AWARD

Supply chain organisations across Scotland will play a key role in ensuring the country deploys a varied mix of energy projects. From offshore wind to green hydrogen and solar, there is much work to be done and as Scotland’s renewable energy capacity grows, so too does the knowledge and experience of the companies delivering these technologies. If your organisation has increased its aspirations, capacity and size through ambitious local and international renewables growth plans in the past two years, it may well be the winner of the Green Business Growth Award 2023.

SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIER AWARD

With businesses from Tier Ones and Big Oil to high street brands pushing their green credentials to customers, it’s no surprise that a requirement to cut carbon has been passed down to the supply chain. This award is designed for those businesses which are seeing this shift as an opportunity and making sure they’re at the front of the pack helping industry clean up. Judges are looking for innovative solutions and ideas which are successfully reducing carbon emissions, focusing on a circular economy and supporting the energy transition.

ENERGY TRANSITION CHAMPION AWARD

This award recognises an individual who dedicates their time to the energy transition. Be that considering or actioning how their own business can move to clean energy, speaking at events about the need to go green or influencing others on social media, we’re looking to celebrate someone who’s at the heart of the most important economic shift in our lifetimes. Judges are looking for individuals who have demonstrated a real commitment to building the attitudes, skills or technologies we’ll need in the decades to come.

BEST PRACTICE AWARD
Sponsored by Subsea7

In our industry suppliers work tirelessly to ensure they are meeting the standards required to deliver high quality, keep their people safe and get the buy-in of the people who matter to their projects. This award celebrates a company or project which has gone above and beyond to implement an initiative to achieve exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality improvements, or which has worked with stakeholders, including communities, to ensure everyone is aligned as a project develops. Judges are looking for nominations from companies and projects which set the gold standard in business best practice.
