Young Professionals Green Energy Awards 2021
Rewarding the next generation of leaders in renewables
Renewable energy is one of Scotland’s proudest environmental and economic success stories and with COP26 coming to Glasgow in November, the Young Professionals Green Energy Awards celebrates and recognises those who will be driving the evolution of Scotland’s energy system in such an important year for renewable energy and climate change.
This year’s event will be held as a free, virtual awards ceremony at 7pm on Thursday 27 May 2021, where we will once again recognise those who have achieved beyond all expectations, those who are pioneering new ideas and have the drive and ambition to change the renewable energy industry for the better.
Though we can't bring people together in person at this time, it is important that we continue to recognise the achievements and ambition of our future industry leaders.
In a change to our usual format we will not be announcing finalists this year. Instead, we will hold a virtual judging session on Monday 24 May and shortly thereafter announce 8 outright winners at the virtual awards ceremony on the Thursday evening. We are also developing plans for a short, engaging seminar on Wednesday 26 May with some light networking. If you’re interested in getting involved with this opportunity, please get in touch.
Nominations are now open!
The Young Professionals Green Energy Awards are free to enter. Making a nomination takes five minutes. Nominations are open until 5pm on Monday 17 May. Applicants must have been working in the renewable energy industry in Scotland for five years or fewer. Those eligible can nominate themselves or others by clicking here.
