Yusuf Patel is EDF Power Solutions UK and Ireland’s Chief Technical Officer. He has been working in the UK Renewables sector for over 20 years, having joined EDF in 2023 from ScottishPower Renewables, where he served in the roles of Operations Director and Projects and Construction Director. 
Yusuf has extensive experience of Operating and Project Delivery of Renewables assets, having held responsibility at Director level for operating over 2GWs of Onshore Windfarms, and project delivery responsibility for a large-scale portfolio of Onshore Wind, Solar and Battery projects across the UK and Ireland, within 2 Global scale utility organisations. 
The Central Technical Office (CTO) function in EDF Power Solutions, is responsible for Project construction of EDFs Onshore Wind, Solar and, Battery sites, as well as Engineering, Procurement, Grid Management and Central Project Office support across the EDF Onshore and Offshore portfolio, and Yusuf has responsibility for leading the teams across the function in the UK to deliver on ambitious net zero targets. 
Yusuf has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with Financial Management from the University of Strathclyde, and is a chartered member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
