    Rosie McGlynn

    Director, Mentone Energy Consultancy

    Rosie has over twenty years experience in the energy industry having worked for three of the major utilities, E.ON, EDF Energy and Centrica and latterly for Energy UK, the trade association for the retail and generation sector. Her major areas of expertise are smart metering, smart grid, consumer protection, data privacy, regulation and policy as well as low carbon heat and transport policy. Rosie has more recently established her own low carbon consultancy business and is working in the local energy system space focusing on product and service design as well as assessing how to achieve improved integration between energy heat and transport policy.

    Gavin Stewart

    Flexible Solutions Delivery Manager, Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks

    Gavin has worked for SSEN for 13 years and been involved in various roles in the networks industry, from operational to project management. He has helped deliver smart grid systems for the control of generation export onto the distribution networks, and in his current role, Gavin is the delivery and support manager for the Flexible Solutions Team. It is his responsibility is to ensure the delivery of SSEN’s Flexible Connections and Services portfolio. In addition he helps provide ongoing support for the solutions and SSEN customers throughout the lifetime of the products.

  • Morag Watson

    Morag Watson

    Director of Policy, Scottish Renewables

    Morag is Scottish Renewables’ Director of Policy. Her work involves overseeing Scottish Renewables’ policy function and key projects within Scotland’s leading renewables trade body, working on behalf of 250+ organisations to grow Scotland’s renewable energy sector and sustain its position at the forefront of the global clean energy industry.

    Morag has worked in policy for over 15 year and was previously a Senior Policy Officer with WWF Scotland, specialising in climate change, sustainable development and behaviour change.

    During this time, she worked on the Scottish Government’s Climate Change and Sustainable Development Action Plans, worked as an advisor to UNESCO and helped found the Scotland’s Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development within the University of Edinburgh.

    Morag holds a degree in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Edinburgh, is a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and lives in a self-built eco-home in Central Scotland.

  • Jeremy Williamson

    Jeremy Williamson

    Director of Operations, SSE Renewables

    Jeremy Williamson is Director of Operations at SSE Renewables. Jeremy leads the operation and asset management activities on all SSE’s renewable assets, which include over 5GW installed capacity of Hydro, Onshore Wind and Offshore Wind. Jeremy has an electrical engineering background, working extensively on distribution and transmission systems in the UK and overseas in his early career. He moved in to Onshore Wind in 2003 during the construction of SSE’s first large scale wind farm and has since led the development of SSE’s operational capabilities to become one of the largest owner, operator, maintainers in the UK and Ireland, including the capability to undertake major component changes. Jeremy is an experienced business leader and is also on the Boards of a number of large joint ventures including the Greater Gabbard and Beatrice Offshore Wind Farms.

    Mark Wilson

    Chief Executive, Intelligent Land Investments

    Mark has over 15 years of experience in the residential property market including the successful completion of fundraisings for property investment companies. After the economic downturn in 2008, he diversified into the renewable energy sector replicating the business model to achieve success. As his team delivered more successes with small onshore wind projects, he could see the growing necessity for a solution to the many gigawatts of intermittent generation that has been coming on stream in the UK and therefore the business potential in energy storage.
