SR AM: SNH Review ‘Siting and designing windfarms in the landscape’ with Biggart Baillie

A Scottish Renewables Business Breakfast seminar on Tuesday 28^th of February to discuss, with Scottish Natural Heritage, their guidance on ‘siting and designing windfarms in the landscape’.  This guidance was developed by SNH staff and published in 2010 drawing on experience of windfarm development across Scotland and taking into account the views raised during the original consultation. It is technical guidance aimed, primarily, at those involved in the detailed design of windfarms as well as planners engaged in strategic planning for wind farms.

This informal seminar will provide an open forum to discuss your experiences of using this guidance and whether it addresses a growing number of talking points across the industry in relation to cumulative landscape and visual issues. SNH will be particularly keen to seek views on whether they have done enough to promote this guidance, if it works and if not what could improve it.
