A: Cost Reduction – On target for 2020?

The Offshore Wind Cost Reduction Task Force published its report in June 2012, confirming that offshore wind can reach £100/MWh by 2020.This session will explore how the Task Force’s recommended actions are being delivered and assess whether we are on track to meet the 2020 target.

Stage 2 of the National Renewables Infrastructure Plan indicated that, in order to secure industry use, port facilities in Scotland would need to be ready by 2013/14. This session will look at the progress being made through N-RIP stage 3 and NRIF to achieve this and meet the industry’s urgent infrastructure requirements.
